MySoft tracks network devices, circuits, and all types of inside and outside cable. MySoft will show each connection point (both in text and graphical format) and cross connections from the origination point to the termination point. MySoft will also track cable related information such as pairs, jacks, and ports.
The system can even document such diverse routes as alarm circuits.
The beauty of MySoft’s Cable Management system is that it can be easily implemented in phases. If your existing cable records are incomplete and a cable inventory is necessary to gather the information, you may import and track the portions that are currently documented as you gather the rest of the data. The new data may be merged with existing cable data with very little effort.
There are two basic applications in MySoft with which you can track cable networks, depending on the information you wish to track. The traditional Cable Tracking provides structured screens and tables, and Entity Tracking is a more unstructured and very flexible approach. Cable Tracking was designed to track phone and data networks. Entity tracking, on the other hand, allows you to define component types and their attributes. With either approach graphical tracking allows customers to easily view a complete cable run. You can click on any point in the view to see additional information about a particular item.
